Best way to invest 1 Lakh in Lumpsum

Hi guys,

I have a Citibank account and recently they have announce that they will be raising the minimum Net Relationship Value (NRV) to 1 lakh.

So here’s my very simple question. Which is the best fund to invest 1 lakh in lumpsum for a long time period. I can also break up the investment into different funds if need be.

Kindly advise. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Zaib.

  1. Dear Ahmad, do you really need that CITI Bank account? First answer this question.

    Thanks

  2. Genoa says:

I’d say invest in 15 year PPF account, if you’re looking for long term option.

  3. First align it with a long term goal like retirement. Then you can invest it in equity mutual funds over a period of say 3-6 months.. This is assuming you wont need the money for a long time and can tolerate risk.
