Hi Manish,

Read your post on the iTerm and iProtect and found it quite useful. I think it would help most of the readers in case you can do one such comparison on other 2 most commonly used policies. One on Health Insurance and other on Personal Accident Insurance keeping the broad objectives of these policies

Mahesh

    Hi,

You can find an elaborate comparison of personal accident insurance policies here:

    http://insureinvest.in/personal-accident-insurance-policy-comparison.html

The comparison has been done on basis of features available, age of entry and max age of policy holder and premium of policy.

Hope you find it of use.

    Hi Manish,

    Thanks for your response.

With respect to an accident policy, I was looking for a policy with world-wide coverage and a decent SA. Somehow I noticed that the policies do not go beyond 30 L or so. So If I am looking for anything beyond then should I go for multiple policies or should this SA be good enough. I am comparing this to a policy I had taken during my stint abroad where the SA ranged from $1L – $5L. Any particular factors that I should be taking into consideration while comparing the plans?

With respect to health insurance, I am currently having a bank tailored floater plan that looks fine but wanted to check if I should go for an individual plan that is taken directly from the insurer just in case the bank decides not to carry on with the product.

I follow your site regularly and during these self analysis I was looking for any plan, discussions, any analysis (in your site) on this aspect.

    Regards,
    Mahesh

      Manish,

I remember reading one of your articles where you had talked about one such personal accident policy from Oriental Insurance which I thought sounded excellent and with a very reasonable premium.

I don’t remember how long back I read the article, but I’m sure you know which one I’m talking about.

      Regards,
      Ram.
