ONI would like to move my savings account money to a Liquid Fund.
Please suggest a best performing Liquid Fund.
I shall be redeeming my money from this fund based on my need.
The reason to move money from savings account to liquid fund is for a better interest.
Also, please suggest if this is a worthy move.

I personally go for HDFC Cash Management Plan – saving plan or reliance liquid fund. In both the case I have an online access to the portal where I just login and park the funds and redeem when required.
Hi
As I said earlier the goal for this switch is only “higher returns” on my liquid cash, is moving the liquid cash to “liquid fund” a better option compared to term deposit ( fixed/recurring) offered by any bank (say icici ) ?
Except that there may be charges for pre-mature withdrawal in term deposit as against nill in liquid fund.
Thanks

Deaer Hari, How about investing in MFs using fundsindia platform?
Thanks
Ashal
Hi Ashal
Unfortunately my online trading account limits my purchase to a list of AMC and Escorts is not in that list. So, based on list of allowed AMC, I saw “Birla Sun Life Floating rate short term” to be the closest with better returns.

Dear Hari, please check the below link –

From the above list, Escorts Liquid is one of the best in business for 1,3,5Y return period.
Thanks
Ashal
Hi Ashal
If you are suggesting this fund only based on easy redemption, I would like to say that I have activated online trading account for mutual fund, wherein I can redeem the liquid fund to my bank account and the transfer happens within a day ( is what I am told )
Hence I said higher returns on my liquid is my only goal for this switch.
Thanks

Dear Hari, instead of focusing on higher returns, you should think of your liquidity needs. Although it’s not liquid fund but for liquidity purpose, Rel. RSF Debt fund is a better choice as it’s providing ATM card for redemption of money any time.
Thanks
Ashal
