Best credit card to use abroad

POSTED BY Amit ON January 3, 2013 10:38 am COMMENTS (3)

Most of the Credit Cards available in India charge for Currency Conversion charge (around 3.5%) on transactions done out of India.

Is there any Credit Card available in India, that don’t have such charges or minimum charges?

Thanks…

    Dear Amit,

Yes, there are credit cards with low Conversion charges; not sure if there are any which do not charge anything at all. You need to also check if there any fees attached to such cards.

We would suggest you check with some of the major card issuing banks like ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, SBI Cards etc. and ask them for your specific requirement.

I do understand & ok with currency conversion. But card issued in india have currency conversion plus 3.5 % additional charge.

How to get the global card?

  3. Dear Amit, any Credit card issued in India, ‘ll levy such conversion charges as you are repaying in Indian currency for your Indian credit card. Alternatively, if you can procure any global credit card outside India, the payment of the same ‘ll invite CCC (currency conversion charges). So choice is yours’.

    Thanks

    Ashal
