Automatic restoration of SI feature

Hi!

What is automatic restoration of Sum Insured in case of health cover? If I am buying a 4L family floater with automatic restoration of SI (once SI gets exhausted for upto 100%), does it mean that actually I have 8L to my desposal ofcourse subject to loading of premiums and conditional usage of restored SI?
