I am writing in brief.

on 9th december between 9.30-10AM, I withdraw 500/- from canara bank ATM which is in madiwala location (2nd left lane of aayeppa temple) ,I got only 500 rs one note, but i wanted one 100/- note, so again i entered 100/- to get a 100 rs note. but ATM showed invalid amount,so i cancelled the transaction and left with my ATM card.

after sometime i got a message of withdraw of 5000/- rs from my ATM. I thought its invalid message and my money will be return back,,after waited 1 day, on 10th i launch a complained and customer care.

I got reply from HDFC saying its a valid transcation with the below details.

  1. Dear Priyanka, some how it seems your card has been skimmed. Please block your existing card right now & demand a new card at the same time, please file an FIR in the police station.

Although the matter is more than a month old but HDFC people are right in the sense that first you w’d have to prove that it was not you who withdrew it from the ATM. So please file a police FIR ASAP.

    thanks

    Ashal
