Until last year, I used to purchase any MFs offline, through my Uncle who’s an investment advisor. That way, he’d get some commission on the same.

However now I have started online purchase to avoid the hassle of filling forms and due to the overall convenience. I do this directly from the AMC’s website.

Does someone know whether I can enter the agent’s code (ARN code) while purchasing from the AMC’s website, so that he’d get commission on the purchase made by me? I think the online purchase form contains a field to enter this, but am not very sure if this would work and he’ll receive commision.

Please advise.

P.S. – I know that for him to get commision, I need to select the normal plan (and not ‘Direct plan’). Also I’d probably be charged an amount of Rs.100, which I think is the distributor’s cost. But am fine with that, since its a small amount compared to the commision he’ll receive.
