Advise required regarding Health Insurance

I sought advises from policybazaar.com  myinsuranceclub.com medimanage.com etc.

I just want to know any of the experts here have a good option to suggest.

Scenario: Myself- 27 years. No pre existing illness. Mother-54years. No pre existing illness. Father – 62 years. Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus, Minor Coronary artery disease.

Present situation: Taken LIC Jeevan arogya. Started in the month of May 2013. 1 lakh cover each for each person. Total premium Rs.9750. Mistake committed: Agent forced me not to mention father’s pre existing illness in the policy , which now i feel was a real blunder.

Aim: To increase cover.  3 lakh each for each persons  and  to switch to better policy, if required.

Questions: 1. Can I switch to another policy now? I mean is there anything like portability in health insurance policies? Or do I need to start afresh? 2.Do a family floater suite to the family I mentioned above?  3. Myself planning to get married near future. Do any of the policies cover child birth and related things? 4.How do Top up cover and Restore benefit (Apollo munich optima restore) differ?  5. How do Critical illness rider help us?

Dear Dr. Sachin, do not lose heart anf if possible, please purchase a large cover for your parents in your family floater. The reason for large cover from day one is simple. Due to medical condition of your father and due to increased age later on, you ‘ll find it tough to get a large cover.

    Thanks
