Hi

I am defaulter of PL, so im sure my CIBIL score should be worst. Now i would like to improve my score. So i thought of settling all those dues with charges. Recently i spoke with the concern. They Said almost 2.5lac is due under my name.

My questions here is – If I fully settle my dues with out taking any waive off, how long it will take to reflect my score in cibil report or still my score will low. If i pay this month, Does my score get improved in next 2-3 months.

    Dear Sir,

Before you make any assumptions on your score, we suggest you apply for your CIBIL report to know the exact score and contents of your credit report. You can then analyse the same and proceed as required.

That said, it is difficult to give an estimate of how much time it will take for your score to improve once you pay off all the outstanding. But please do not settle as this will show on your credit report and will be viewed negatively. Ensure you pay the full outstanding. Overtime you score will improve. If you have any other open credit facilities, pay your dues on time in these accounts.
