Regarding the highest amount that can be invested in PPF?

Hello Everyone,

I am aware that the highest amount one can invest in a PPF account during a year is 70k. And whether the duration considered for an year is from “Jan – Dec” or “April – March”?

To be more clear:

Suppose I invested 70K in March,2011. Then can I invest another 70K in April,2011?

you can have more by having accounts in names of spouse, and minor children. you can get tax break , if you pay.

You cant invest extra amount on minor name, 70k is the total for a person and minor child !

It’s financial year from Apr to Mar.

If you invest 70k in March, you can very well invest 70k in April.
