Dear readers,

I am a 24 year old Seafarer (Merchant Navy) and I have a strong desire to invest a sizable amount towards my retirement, but I am unsure as to where I should put it in. I already have a PPF account towards which I am willing to put in 50K per year, also I have two equity based mutual fund for a 5 year tenure. An SIP of 4000 in total going towards both funds on a monthly basis. Having a health insurance of 5 lakhs and a life insurance (Term Plan) of 1Cr.

Please guide me as to where I should invest so that I can generate a sizable corpus at the time of my retirement (Around 2055). Is investing in real estate (PLOTS ONLY) a good option??
