Is it possible to have two SIP’s in the same mutual fund ?

I have SIP in IDFC NIFTY Index Fund(Regular) fund which is invested in my son’s name me as guardian, so i has my PAN number attached.

My (in my own name) current SIP is in IDBI NIFTY Fund(Regular) which is ending in a month. Instead of continuing in same, wish to go in to IDFC NIFTY Index Fund(Direct) due to low expense ratio, and to go in for direct from regular.

Is is possible to have two SIP’s (one regular and one direct) in same fund, same folio, same PAN ?

    Hi,

As your son is still a minor you should be looking at having a minor portfolio being created in his name too. considering the cost of education currently and the rate at which the fees would be by the time kids reach graduation and post graduation it could dent your savings to some extent.

have a portfolio of funds and keep investing regularly via sip.

    all the best!

    Hi,

Yes, you can have two different SIPs of two different funds(under same AMC) registered under same folio.
